Water Lillies by Monet
— Amy Carmichael
Learning and much unlearning,
smattering ideals shattered,
when what thought or seemed,
was not what truly is.
How do people go on, when all that you trust in, crumbles and fails?
When people disappoint, time and time again, contrary to fancy promises made in the spur of the moment.
Will we trust Him?
All other grounds are indeed sinking sands, sugar-coated with the thinnest cement.
In much of my lack and limitations, You are all sufficient.
