“For sweetest things turn sourest by their deeds; Lillies that fester smell far worse than weeds.”
― William Shakespeare, The Sonnets
The truth about ourselves is painful.
Yet without it, we continue existing in the quagmire of festering lies we tell ourselves.
Oh, we tell ourselves.
The truth about ourselves can be life-saving.
The joy of knowing a new heart,
where who you once were is a distant prologue, paving way for a wonderful beginning thereafter.
Let it die,
that it may live.
Truly live.
