Caryn Tan

Once upon a sometime ago, on the 3rd floor corridor of MCKL, under the bright hot sun...

Me: Hey Caryn! *walks walks walks*
Caryn: Heyy! *leaning on the wall, staring into the sun*
Me: Eh! what are you doing just standing under the sun like that?
Caryn: Ohh....*Spreads out her arms & smiles* I'm photosynthesizing...
like a flower...

Aiyo, I'm going to miss this girl.

You know how some people are just a blessing,
simply by just being who they are?

She's one of those rare gems.

Hope to join you in the US soon!

Batman: The Dark Knight

It's not only the best movie of the year,

I think I can say, without conviction, the best movie I've EVER watched? *bet david is pulling his hair out & going NOT AGAAAAIIINNNN*

It bears slight similarities with V for Vendetta though, well considering they are both director Christopher Nolan's work, which I'm currently greatly intrigued by.

I don't merely like the movie because I'm a small Batman fan, even though I must say that Joker was brilliant, insanely brilliant, every twictch in his face was perfect to perversity.

To just say it was a fantastic action super hero flick would be a slur!! Some of the quotes are pretty profound, questioning the whole morailty of human nature & civiliasation by an large.

If put in a dire circumstance, where your life depended upon it, you won't really know what men & women are capable of doing, even the most civilised of people are capable of the most horriblest of crime.

I'm really in loss of allocades to describe the movie, let me quote Jon right after the movie ended.

*wow.wow. WOWWWWWWW!!*

I shall watch it again, cos there're still a few parts which I couldn't get, & probably a gazillion seemingly small and insignifantly significant details I missed.

* Let's put a smile on that face.*

-Joker.

My impersonation is not bad okay,

thanks to the thick phelgm residue of my cough.

My Week - In a Kaleidascope.

Rawr!
That's how I feel currently.
So much has been happening lately,
Upcoming CF camp, Treasure Hunt, BBQ nite..
& the thank-goodness-it's-over-already
interclass sports tournament..
which I must admit, was fantastically fun,
though extremely taxing,
due to the poor & close to Nadaa
stamina I possess.
Important thing is we had great fun,
and got to know a few more college mates better!

Working together can be quite challenging,
so many different opinions,
different working style,
different characters..
And the closer proximity with others,
on a day to day basis,
friction is inevitable.
It's like using a match & a matchbox.

You scratch.
& scratch.
& scratch.
& SCRATCHHHHH!

until KABOOM.

a small fire appears!

Well, then you just blow it off,
or else the fire will just burn up the entire match.

Then at times,
I feel frustrated,
because of a stupid mistake I made.
It's like dropping you favourite pilot G-2 gel pen on the floor,
& you try your level best & hope that it still works perfectly.
& when you use it,
it comes out..
ink-no ink no ink-ink-no ink no ink-ink- NOO ink.
Which annoys you.

And when it gets to me,
my ugly selfish monster rears it's head,
I'm more selfish & inconsiderate than I ever know.
& it breaks me,
causing me to seek Him even more.

(Bio Lab - waiting for the Elodea plant to photosynthesize & produce bubbles.how very exciting.)

Somethings in life,
you just have to wait,
wait,
& wait,
& wait again.

But it will come,
I know it would come,
Cos God created it that way.

Alias Grace

I remember watching Alias Grace with Davina at KLPAC last year. Sent chills down our spines as we concluded that she- Grace Marks had split-very-disturbing-personalities, which eventually made her not just a murderess, but The Murderess of the 19th Century.

But as I begin to read, and re-read the book, I think she's actually playing hide-and-seek with me. She is anything but insane even though she's living in a Asylum. If at all she's insane, I would say she's insanely intelligent, manipulative and seductive. Or so it seems...

Are you what you portray yourself to be? Is what you are on the inside in tandem with what you are on the outside?

Split personalities is not just a psychological problem (sometimes it undeniably is), but ultimately it's how people struggle for survival, for acceptance in a world that demands you to be anything but vulnerable. And more often than not, we are all vulnerable deep down.

CF committee sleepover was such a blessing, it's so rare where we could be so transparent with each other, our struggles, our weakness. Tears and brokenness that showed true strength to me, because His life and power was allowed to overflow through it.

When was the last time you were actually...Real?

Thursday, July 3

All in all.

I virtually do not dare to move during Datin Aru's class.

A day of chemistry class,

copynotes.copy copy copy *STOP YAWNING!!! - in her higher than usual soft voice*.copycopycopy. * SIT UP PROPERLY!!!! to Ruman who was slugging off the chair* copycopycopy *STOP TOUCHING YOURSELF (?!!)- Hong Chin was touching his hair?*copy copy copy. *DON'T YOU HAVE A HANKERCHIEF WHEN YOU SNEEZE? -Hashim and his infamously disgusting sneeze.yuck.* copy copy copy *WHY DO YOU KEEP SMILING AT ME?!*my hands starts to shiver when I'm copying now..*WHO IS THE ONE WHO KEEPS GIVING THE WRONG ANSWERS?*copycopy as sweat start trickling down my forehead...

*STOP STRETCHING!!* then we turn to look who did that...
*DON'T TURN YOUR HEAD!*....then I frantically turn to look away to the other side...

I .. am.. petrified.

Actually I'm not, she's a really good teacher! and her notes are WOW! as clear as a purified glass.

Just got back actually, been coming back at tennish this whole week. Tired, irritated, annoyed but excited and anticipating at the same time, the things God is doing and has installed.

"The Joy of the Lord Is Your Strength" (Nehemiah 8:10)

As the going gets tough, I cling even harder to Him.
